About kate

Hello, I’m Kate. I’m a clinical psychologist based in Brisbane, Australia. I offer individual therapy to adults from my rooms in the Brisbane CBD. My therapeutic style (which you can read a little more about here) is predominantly influenced by the framework of psychoanalysis. I also draw from healing ideologies which acknowledge the connectedness of mind and body. I think my particular offering is a position between two worlds - between the clinical or theoretical, and that which is particular, intuitive and mystical in each individual’s story. As a therapist, I am curious, warm and authentic. I’m really in the room with my patients, and I see the relationship I have with them as a central part of their safety and healing in therapy.

working with me

My intention for you in therapy goes beyond just reducing your symptoms, or patching you up so you can return to productivity. To me, potent and successful therapy is about finding sustainable ways to put you back in touch with your best and most whole-hearted self. I would love to support you in the discovery of how you really wish to live, in the expression of your own particular gifts, and in alignment with what you really long for. I work with a small number of patients, and we generally meet on a long term, frequent basis to support lasting, transformational change.
